Sterling Silver Pearl Floral Pendant on chain is an intricate, ornate, artisan crafted sterling silver pendant that our designers had created in Ankara more than 3 years ago.  The first sample takes about half a day for an artist with 10 years experience to finish. The intricate structure of the pendant shows how the artist have embroidered to create the floral designs that constitute the piece. Like most filigree that we make this too is lightly polished and oxidized to bring out the luster of the silver and give it an antique look. This pendant is ornamented with cultured pearl. It is believed that pearl brings bearer the power of love, money, protection and luck.

Filigree is the art of embroidery with metal thread. It is similar to embroidering lace except with metal thread. It is an art that has been developed and excelled in Southeastern Turkey in the last two millennia by Assyrian Christians. A unique combination of traditional filigree techniques with modern sensibility is the secret of our designs.

In this part of the world they have been making jewelry for 8 millennia. It was home to jewelers of Assyrian, Armenian, Greek, Persian, Arabic and Turkish heritage. The workmanship is impeccable.
