925 Sterling Silver Filigree Style Star Shaped Pendant with Genuine Cultured Pearl

Pearl Sterling Silver Star Shaped Pendant on chain is designed and handmade in Ankara Turkey. Designers are influenced from nature and the history of this particular craft. Their workshop sits in the middle of farmland in a remote small town near Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. This workshop has been making filigree jewelry for over 20 years. The first sample takes about half a day for an artist with 10 years experience to finish. This particular design was created about ten years ago.

Filigree is the art of embroidery with metal thread. Many floral elements are embroidered with this technique. It is similar to embroidering lace except with metal thread. It is an art that has been developed and excelled in Southeastern Turkey in the last two millennia by Assyrian Christians.
